Czech DVB-T2 rollout continues
Czech DVB-T2 rollout continues
Digital Broadcasting has launched the first transmitters of the final DVB-T2 Multiplex 24 in Prague.
According to Digizone, the move, on January 8, will be followed by a launch in Central Bohemia on the following day.
It adds that in these regions the same channels will be broadcast as on the existing Multiplex 4, which employs the DVB-T standard.
Multiplex 24 will reach 2.8 million people and effectively replace both Multiplex 4 and the DVB-T2 transition network 13, which will now be switched off.
Its channel line-up includes TV Nova, along with Nova, Prima and Joj thematic services and several regional channels.
