Spain's Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal lodged by the country's professional football league (La Liga) against a High Court judgment allowing the broadcaster Mediaset to air 90-second football highlights packages of games, reports Cinco Dias. In its ruling, the court said 90 seconds per league game is considered a sufficient length of time to ensure citizens' right to information as long as broadcasters abide by the CNMC's rules limiting summaries to two broadcasts of 90 seconds per game within 24 hours of the match ending.
